Hollyhock Flowers

A light, editorial site for an independent florist. Customers build a bouquet and watch it come together on a gift tag with the price, see how long they have left for same-day delivery, and couples can plan and price their wedding flowers before they ever pick up the phone.

The brief

A florist site where you build a bouquet and see the price as it comes together.

Independent florists lose online orders to the big national sites, which look the same everywhere and often send something nothing like the photo. A small studio needed a site that felt as considered as its flowers, made ordering for today simple, and gave wedding couples a real sense of cost up front.

The approach

  1. 01

Went light and editorial to stand apart from the national sites: warm paper, deep forest green, a raspberry accent and photography framed in florist-style arches.

  2. 02

Built a bouquet builder where the bunch is drawn as you choose: it grows with the size, recolours with the palette and is priced on a gift tag, delivery included.

  3. 03

Added a live same-day countdown (“order in the next 2h 14m”) on the shop’s own clock, plus a postcode checker that shows the fee and whether today is still possible.

  4. 04

Gave couples a wedding planner: pick the date to see what’s in season, slide the guest numbers and the centrepieces follow, and get an estimate before booking a consultation.

  5. 05

Every order form moves itself into the right delivery zone from the postcode, so there are no surprises at checkout.

Hollyhock Flowers is a fictional business created to show this design. The site is fully built and working; reviews, prices and team details are example content.

Social content

The feed, to match.

Concept posts for Hollyhock Flowers, in the same fonts, colours and photography as the website, so the brand looks the same wherever people find it.
